We appreciate your interest in volunteering with our parish. The safety of our children and those at risk is of utmost importance. To that end, we screen volunteers and adhere to all requirements of the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program. New volunteers should complete the set-up process listed below:
Instructions for setting up your record with the screening form:
Enter Personal Info, Address, Phone, Ministry, Location (St. Michael, Volunteer, must be registered parishioner)
Enter 3 References (must include name, complete address, phone number, and if possible, email address) and instruct your references to complete reference form which will be sent to them and return to the church office.

Read and acknowledge acceptance for Safe Environment Program
Read and acknowledge acceptance for Sexual Misconduct Policy
Read and acknowledge acceptance for Social Media Policy
Agree to release content by checking the box at the bottom of the page, then check “I’m not a robot”, and click Submit
Next the screen will refresh and you will Select My Obligations, which is located at the top of the page
Fill in information (First Name, Last Name, Street Number only)
Select Search
Verify all the information is correct, and select Update Information and Continue
Watch the video titled “Standard Sexual Abuse Awareness”, which will be about 1 hour long, then take the quiz after the video, which has multiple choice answers. MUST enter Submit when complete.
You will then need to contact the church office for an in-person interview.
All volunteers must be registered parishioners. If you are not already registered, please complete and submit a Parish Recognition Form to the parish office: https://stmichaelmckinney.org/parish-registration.
Once all these steps are completed, a background check will be run.

Volunteers will need to update their training every year and a background check will be run every two years.
