    Programación de la Liturgia

    • Liturgy schedules are produced monthly and will be out by the third weekend of the month for the upcoming month. Scheduling for special Masses (e.g., Christmas) will occur roughly three weeks before the event. If you won't be available for your regular Mass, please go to the web terminal and update your availability. For questions about a specific ministry, please contact the ministry coordinator directly.

    • How to Get on the Liturgy Schedule

Step 1 - Minsters Attend Training

All liturgical ministers at St. Michael the Archangel are required to receive appropriate training to serve in our liturgies. The Holy Mass is the highest prayer of the Church, and ministers must be prepared in order to serve our Lord to the best of their ability.

Step 2 - Minister is Added to MSP

After completing training, training ministers will provide the new ministers' enrollment forms to the parish, and they will be added as a user in MSP. Once added, the new minister will receive an e-mail with their login information for the MSP website. At this point, new ministers will be entered into the schedule rotation for regular service.

Step 3 - Minister Logs in to MSP

Once the new minister sets up his or her login to MSP, he or she can log in to the system to change schedules, request subs, etc. The new minister can now get access to the MSP smartphone app.

  • FAQs
    Preguntas más frecuentes

    • How will scheduling work?/¿Cómo funcionará la programación?
      • Our new scheduling system will generate schedules for each Sunday and weekday Mass. We will prepare schedules one month at a time, and schedules will be released by the third week of the month before.

    • How does it know when to schedule me?
      • When you complete your form, you'll tell us which Mass or Masses you regularly attend, and you'll also tell us in what ministries you've been trained. The system will only schedule you at your preferred Masses and only in the ministries you've been trained to perform. When possible, we will schedule family members to serve at the same Mass (e.g., when a parent is a lector or extraordinary minister and children serve as altar servers).

    • How can I access the schedule?
      • If you have provided your e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail with the schedule for the whole month. It will also contain each of your ministry assignments in a list. Moreover, two days before any assigned ministry, you'll receive an e-mail reminder of your assignment.

        1. At the Mass Coordinator table in the Narthex
        2. On the bulletin board in the Working Sacristy
        3. On the bulletin board in the Vesting Sacristy
        4. On the bulletin board in St. Michael Hall
        5. On the Parish Website

If you do not have web access or e-mail access, you can check the printed schedule at any time.

    • What if something comes up and I can't serve?
      • If you know in advance that you won't be able to make Mass, you can follow the instructions in your e-mail to request a substitute. This will tell the system that you're not available to serve. The system will e-mail other ministers at your Mass to let them know that an opportunity is available.

    • What if I'm going to be out of town? What if I want to change the Mass at which I serve?
      • If you provide us with an e-mail, you'll have access to the Web Portal. You can use the Web Portal to make changes to your Mass preferences, as well as notify us of times when you'll be out of town. If you don't have an e-mail address, you can address these issues with your ministry coordinators.
