Confessions
Thursday 5:45 to 6:30 pm
Saturday 3:00 to 4:00 pm
 
Baptisms
In English; the second Sunday of each month at 1:00 pm
In Spanish; the first Saturday of each month at 1:00 pm
 
Baptism Preparation Class
Required for parents and godparents before a Baptism can be scheduled. Classes are offered in Spanish the last Monday of each month, and in English the last Saturday of each month. Call the parish office to confirm the time and place of class and to make a reservation.
 
Weddings
The Bishop of Dallas requires that a couple set a date for the wedding at least six months after their first meeting with the priest or deacon. Couples must both be free to marry in the Catholic church to set a wedding date. Information on the required documents and preparation programs will be given at the first meeting.
 
Anointing of the sick
Any person seriously ill or preparing to undergo surgery may receive the Sacrament of the Sick. Call the parish office ot arrange to receive this sacrament after Mass, or at home or in the hospital. The Church encourages receiving this sacrament when serious illness strikes, and it should not be postponed until a person is near death.
 
Communion for the sick
and those unable to attend mass
St. Michael’s has a large group of Eucharistic Ministers who take Communion to those who are in the hospital, or at home, or in a care facility. Please call the parish office to schedule a visit.
 
Quinceñeras
A young lady planning a Quinceañera must have received the sacrament of Confirmation, or be presently enrolled in CCD classes in preparation for receiving this sacrament. Quinceañera are celebrated on Saturdays at 12 noon, or 1 pm. Contact the parish office to schedule a Quinceañera.
 
Funerals
Funerals are celebrated at a time convenient to the family members. Arrangements with the church are usually coordinated by the funeral home assisting the family. It is the custom in the Catholic Church to have a wake service or a rosary the day before the funeral service. Call the parish office for assistance.
