EDUCATION YOUTH AND ADULT PROGRAMSAt St. Michael’s, religious education for school age students is provided by our CCD program. Classes are held in three sessions:

First Reconciliation And First Communion Preparation for First Reconciliation (Confession) and First Communion involves participating for two years (second and third grade classes) These sacraments are received in the third grade. First Year Prep for First Communion If your child is in the First Year of preparation for Holy Communion, you will be rquired to attend:
Second Year Prep for First Communion If your child is in the First Year of preparation for Holy Communion, you will be rquired to attend:
Confirmation Preparation for Confirmation involves participating in a two year program (eighth and ninth grade). Confirmation is received in the ninth grade. First Year Prep for Comfirmation If your child is in the First Year of preparation for Confirmation (or 8 grade) you will be rquired to attend:
Second Year Prep for Comfirmation If your child is in the Second Year of preparation, you will be rquired to attend:
RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children) Each school year, students in grades above grade three who have not been baptized, or received the sacraments or Reconciliation and First Communion are provided with special preparation to receive these sacraments. Classes are held during the regular CCD sessions. RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) These classes for adults are offered Mondays at 7 pm in the Parish Hall. This series of classes give an ordered explanation of the Catholic Faith for adults (16 years of age or above) who have not been baptized, or belong to another faith community and wish to join the Catholic Church, or for Catholics who wish to receive their First Communion or Confirmation, or for those who wish to grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Church and its history and teachings. Little Rock Scripture Study Each semester a book of the Bible is studied. The study consists in prayerful reflection of the scriptures during the week, group discussion, and wrap-up lecture by Fr. Bierschenk. Sessions are offered Thursday at 7 pm and Friday at 10 am. No previous Bible study is required. |
